Grassroots Partners

LifeRise AIDS Resources partners with grassroots Christian organizations who deliver direct services and share the gospel through prevention, treatment and care projects. LifeRise partners with local Christians and the indigenous agencies they represent, as well as with other international agencies also serving through grassroots organizations, for many important reasons:

• Local Christians have immediate presence in their communities to comprehend and meet needs;
• We desire to be field - and recipient- rather than donor-driven;
• We multiply our efforts by working through local Christians;
• Projects through grassroots organizations have local ownership, are culturally relevant, and achieve long-term self-sustainability.

LifeRise develops relationships with grassroots Christian organizations through our evangelical networks. Our partners may include:

• Large individual churches;
• Groups of churches on a local, regional or national level;
• Indigenous Christian faith-based organizations (FBOs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and community-based organizations (CBOs);
• Evangelical coordinating bodies (ECBs);
• Christian clinics, hospitals, health associations, professional societies, and community health programs;
• Long-term missionaries who are working with nationals to facilitate indigenous HIV/AIDS programs.
