An estimated 33 million adults and children worldwide are living with HIV/AIDS, almost 6,000 of whom die every day (UNAIDS, 2007). These deaths equal the number who perished in the Indian Ocean tsunami . . . if it happened each and every month. The World Health Organization has called HIV/AIDS a “global health emergency.” The needs are urgent and of great magnitude.
LifeRise AIDS Resources is a Christian response to HIV/AIDS in developing countries worldwide. On an individual level, we bring the grace, compassion, healing and transformation of the Lord to those hurting from AIDS. On a global level, we impact the HIV/AIDS crisis by engaging in the international arena and promoting Christian values and ministry. We invite you to journey with us and share our burden and hope.
